Closures will be in effect from noon to 5 p.m. During this time, Main Street will be closed from Saxon Avenue to Community Road. This past Saturday, March 8, the residents of the Bay Shore and Brightwaters communities braved the 15-mile-per-hour winds to celebrate the 22nd annual Bay Shore Brightwater’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Early that afternoon, sidewalks along Montauk Highway were lined with green-clad spectators showing their St. Patrick’s Day pride. The parade started at 2 p.m., staging near Saxon Avenue to the east, and ended at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church to the west. GLI photographer Eric Micallef was on hand to capture the day in photos.
